Wildlife Bursary Available

An opportunity to attend wildlife workshops

A bursary has been set up in memory of Hemingford Grey resident, and environmentalist, Bridget Smith.

We, the Hemingford Grey Gardeners’ Society, are looking for young people (18 – 30) who would like to take up the offer of attending Wildlife Trust training workshops to be funded by the bursary.

Are you, or do you have children or grandchildren who have an interest in wildflowers, creepy crawlies, bumble bees, butterflies, hedge laying? Then go to the www.wildlifebcn.org website to see the extensive range of workshops available which are delivered in different venues in Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.

These workshops may attract ‘A’ level students who are studying biology or members of a college group learning about wildlife and natural habitats. In which case we would be interested in hearing from teachers who are prepared to bring a small group to a workshop.

If you are aged 16/17 we can discuss your attending a workshop.
