I was born and raised in the village at Dockseys Farm and continue to live and farm there to this day. The village has always played an important part in my life – initially school days and then playing football, cricket and bowls at the Playing Fields and a lifelong involvement with the Regatta.
In May 2016 I will have served 50 years as a Parish Councillor. During that time I have been Chairman on 4 occasions, totalling 12 years and have served on all committees at some stage. I was also a District Councillor for the old St Ives Rural District Council many years ago.
The best interests of the village and its Parishioners has always been my motivation.
I have also served as Chairman of the Trustees of the Hemingford Peace Memorial Field and Chairman of the Sports and Social Club.
