Hemingford Grey

HG Village SignHemingford Grey is a village which is situated on the southern bank of the River Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire.

It is adjoined to Hemingford Abbots to the west and the historic market town of St Ives to the north of the river.

Hemingford Grey is also home to The Manor, which is claimed to be the oldest inhabited house in the United Kingdom and was home to ‘Green Knowe’ author Lucy Boston.

TheĀ Hemingfords’ Regatta, which is held annually with the adjoining village of Hemingford Abbots and is believed to be among the oldest village regattas in the country.
